Emanuele Brusini (Executive Vice President of DCR) is pleased to announce that Daniel Damart, Managing Director at Danieli Henschel (France), and Jake Allen, Managing Director at Danieli Lynxs (UK) and Danieli Riverside Products (USA) are both appointed as Vice-Presidents for Danieli Centro Recycling.

Alcoa: Long-Term Contract with GE Aviation

Alcoa has signed a long-term contract with GE Aviation for jet engine components in an agreement valued at more than $1.5 billion over the contract life.

Under the deal, Alcoa will supply advanced nickel-based superalloy, titanium and aluminium components for a broad range of GE Aviation engine programs.

Lightweight luxury

The future of pure luxury motoring is already taking shape as Rolls-Royce Motor Cars begins testing its new aluminium space-frame architecture which will underpin all future Rolls-Royce model lines.

The architecture will arrive in market from early 2018.

AMAG certifies final acceptance of Danieli’s Twin-Coiler Rolling Mill

In 2012, AMAG rolling GmbH selected Danieli to design, manufacture and install a new aluminium hot rolling mill, with its auxiliaries. Danieli took the challenge and supplied a plant that meets AMAG’s high quality standards, and achieves the demanding quality performances required from the machine.

Continued operations of Sebree, KY smelter

Century Aluminum Sebree LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Century Aluminum Company (NASDAQ: CENX), has announced that it will continue to operate all of its production lines at its Sebree, Ky. smelter.

Aerosols and aluminium foil “widely” collected for recycling

According to new figures released by the Aluminium Packaging Recycling Organisation, Alupro, 96% of UK councils are collecting aerosols, and 86% are collecting aluminium foil, for recycling.
 
Over the past three years, the number of councils collecting aerosols has increased from 87% to 96%, providing almost complete coverage throughout the UK. Meanwhile, foil recycling has also seen a dramatic increase in collection, from just 35% of councils in 2007 to 86% today.
