Fluor awarded bauxite expansion project in Guinea

Fluor Corporation has announced that Compagnie des Bauxites de Guinée (CBG) awarded Fluor an engineering, procurement and construction management contract for the Bauxite Production Expansion Project in Kamsar, Guinea.

Fluor booked the $501 million contract value into backlog in the second quarter of 2016.

Automotive aluminium recycling rate higher than 90%, new study confirms

New research from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s (WPI) Center for Resource Recovery and Recycling confirms an overall recycling rate of 91% for automotive aluminium.

The peer-reviewed study, funded by the Aluminum Association, examines how much aluminium used in the United States’ light-duty automotive sector is recovered and recycled from vehicles at end of life.
