Key European automotive players to reveal new technologies for reducing the weight of cars

On September 19th, ALLIANCE (Affordable Lightweight Automobiles Alliance) will host their final event, the Future of Automotive Lightweighting Day, following the Aachen Body Engineering Days. The event will include the final results of over 3 years of automotive lightweighting research on materials, process technologies and support tools, the impact these are expected to generate on the environment, and on cost – for the driver, and OEMs. Participants will also receive a guided tour of the ALLIANCE demonstrators, by the OEMs and suppliers, including Daimler AG, Opel, Toyota, Centro Ricerche Fiat S.C.p.A.
