New furnace order

Rusal Krasnoyarsk Aluminium Smelter in Russia has ordered a new billet and slab homogenizing furnace from Danieli Olivotto Ferrè. The scope of work includes engineering, equipment supply, delivery and supervision of the erection and commissioning. The new furnace, which will be installed in the Krasnoyarsk plant, is designed for homogenizing of slabs and billets of all aluminium alloys in series 1 to 9. The unit will heat-treat products with sizes ranging from 300x700 mm up to 800x3,200 mm, and diameters from 127 mm up to 1,320 mm, in lengths from 1,000 mm up to 6,800 mm. Final cooling will be…
